Polaroid S10 Android 4.2.2 Specs state 8GB Internal Memory BUT???

Brand new just got yesterday and have not downloaded anything.
When I go to settings, storage, Internal storage says total space .99 GB and available says 849 mb.
Then in the SD section ( I have none inserted) it says total space 4.49 GB and available 4.48gb

Can someone please direct me to where I can find the accurate Internal storage of 8GB or perhaps I have a lemon or maybe its just operator error.

Not real happy with this tablet so far .. camera is lousy for a "polaroid"

Any input is appreciated thank you in advance

The newer Android versions have an "internal" SD card and when inserted a second SD card.

The intenal SD card is variously known as SDCARD0 or SDCARD etc. and the external SDCARD may be named as SDCARD1, SDCARD2, External SDCARD.

The internal SDCARD is where downloaded apps are stored and where apps such as Titanium Backup stores the backup file,

Music and Photos are usually stored on the external SDCARD if there is one.

Many Apps do not recognise the external SDCARD in KitKat for example (Easy Installer to name one)
