    Need Major Help with Ematic eGlide Pro II

    I just recently got an Ematic eGlide Pro II. In the process of trying to load a new rom on it I seem to have changed the wrong things. Everything is force closing on startup. Eventually I can get in and look at some things.

    Somehow the specs changed to:

    Model Number: Polaroid PMID701i
    Android Version: 4.0.3
    Kernel Version: 2.6.32.27
    Firmware Version: (719ALC5621_GT801_RTL8188_A28_GC0308_CAT6611_TP02_ OTG@120114)_
    Build Number: default

    I want to see if i can get it back to a rom that actually works.
    Let me know if it is possible to save or if i am screwed.

    Looks like you flashed a polaroid ROM. You will need to find the stock Eglide II ROM to fix it.

      I have the stock rom but I can't flash it. I have the driver and everything that came on a disk with the tablet. And any rktools I find won't recognize the driver.

        How did you flash the polaroid ROM?

        Model Number: Polaroid PMID701i

        This tablet ID you posted above is a ALLWinner architecture not a RockChip. To flash AllWinner you need to use LiveSuite flash tools.

            If you flashed the polaroid ROM you must have it already! Thats the only tool to flash the polaroid ROM.

              I used a tool that used cmd prompt to flash. I can't remember ther the name of it though. Something limez I think.

                Ah OK.... see I need all info from you to help. The liquid Limez is not a ROM. It's a patch kit to add google play and it does mod build.prop which is why your tab says polaroid now.

                Do you have a stock ROM for this tablet? If so, please give me a link and I will put a flash kit together for you.

                  I have the update.img that came on a disk with the eglide. I am at work right now but will upload it when I get home.

                    For future reference, is there a safe way to get google play on eglide pro II?

                      I wont know until I can see the stock ROM. Not all gplay apps for other roms are compatible!
                      I think the liquid limez paqtch is for ICS 4.0.3 and if you have 4.0.4 then thats probably why your having trouble.

                      Also the build.prop change to polaroid is probably wht broke your settings etc.
