been getting flooded with request for uart connection points. I finally got some time to do a connection image.

It's just a serial connection mostly for debugging. Could be used for flashing with a custom u boot though. What is it you want to know.

Basically your connecting like this
Rx - tx
Tx - Rx
Gnd - gnd

cougar that is correct what grant mentionedjust make sure you do not mix the 3.3v and the GND or you might fry the circuit.

Jtag is a much better way to go if your looking for serious debugging tool.... serial tho is good for small tasks and flashing...

whats happing with your box when you plug in usb cable does your pc make sound like it picked up a usb male to male cable? if it does then follow the unbricking thread that is pinned in this section of the forum.

also you will need to jumper the 2 pins inside next to the usb ports
