Finless 2.1, hide status bar hot key, can not add user: crashes

Two quick questions.

1) Can I hide/show the status bar using a keyboard key? I was starting to use XBMC on it, but I'm scared to press the down array button on the status bar to hide it, afraid that there is no way to bring it back.

2) Given it's Android 4.2 based, there is/should be the option to have multiple users. But when I try to add a user, it always crashes, or rather, it spontaneously reboots. I'm seeing this with Finless 2.1 and also with an "official" ROM I plucked from somewhere (the geek boys?). Perhaps multi user support doesn't work at all? I really would like to keep my kid away from my desktop...

Try the application Fullscreen! in the play store....it works very well.
