    Custom ROM for rockchip 2918 M901-W

    Hi,
    I tried to root this device more than one method, but failed to root it. Now I am requesting from you guys, Bob and those other developers to build a pre-rooted ROM for me if its possible , I will put a link of my update.img, it is stock I flashed successfully with RKBatctool. And I would also request from to remove Chinese apps' and increase the disk that I could install a lot of apps thanks in advance.

    Rooting my Rockchip 2918 built-in 3g device android 4.0.3

    I think everybody is busy with something else... Am I posted in the right place? and Am I understandable? Even Bob is writing anything.....

    Hope someone will reply and help me out of this situation...

        HI!
        THANKS FOR THE REPLY I TRIED TO UNPACK AND REPACK I SUCCESDFULLY UNPACKED UPDATE.img with FTPTool.exe

        and even went through Ubuntu 12.04 and unpscked system and boot.img and added su and superuser in the system but failed to repack' so if you could give som tuts in the repacking process.

          CUSTOM ROM and ROOT

          Hi Bob,

          I`m a new user of a similar tablet, M901, and the same way looking forward to change the original ROM and ROOT.

                Tho we need a Rom Dump of the Tablet.
                Please look here if that will help you on Rom Dump.

                      Sadly I couldn't!!

                      I tryed many time and ways, including different computers with same result.

                      When I run ADB no devices listed, and when I run ADB SHELL error message says "device not found" or something like this.

                      Other way?

                        There is a Trick. Download the Android SDK there is the adb Inside.
                        So now look under Windows to C:/users/yourusername/.android/.
                        There is a file called android usb.ini.
                        Now get your Device ID from System and convert to hex and put this in the android usb.ini file.
                        Than it must Work.

                        If not we can make a Remote Desktop connection, and the i will help you.

                          Sadly, I couldn't.

                          For somo reason androidusb.ini is not there.

                          How and when do you think we could arrange de remote connection?
