How to downgrade M8 S802 firmware
if I wanted to install stock firmware on my M8 S802 (Finless 1.7 installed on it now) should I wipe all data first? Is there a way to reset to factory default by wiping it completely? I tried to just install but it failed saying it couldn't install over it. The only reason I wanted to go back to stock and not use the finless 1.7 is because all my versions of xbmc go to a soft reboot after awhile and I didn't have that with the stock ROM
Any help would be appreciatedTags: None

But still having random reboot problems, seems to happen while running XBMC, I'm using stane1983 build not sure what's going on now , I'm going to go ahead and reinstall Kodi Helix alpha 3 and see what happens next
I have an OTT M8 Box which I think is the same?
With the firmware that came with it, the box kept getting very hot and restarting when using XBMC. I noticied its when using the XBMC interface for a while. If I started a video quickly it would play fine.
So Ive just upgraded to the newest firmware (1st sept release) and it seems to be ok except now I have a new issue... the ethernet keeps dropping and i have to go back into the setting and checking the ethernet option again.
I want to downgrade and try the version one down but I cant figure out how. Ideally without having to wipe the box because ive spent a while setting up my XBMC library and skin and layout!
How did you downgrade in the end?
Cheers

the ROM I'm using now is the Finless 1.7 so far it's good and haven't had the box do the soft reboot when in XBMC. You can find that here
If you want the stock rom, it's here
the stock FW isn't rooted so you need to use this if u want it rooted

Hi first time poster so go easy on me ;-)
I've installed the Abdul_PT's TWRP but when I try to install any ROM it just tells me "error installing zip". This is the same for any ROM I try, and happens whether I am using an SD card or a USB (and I've tried both USB ports).
The reason I wanted to try something else was that Finless 1.7 won't let me log on the Play Store. It keeps asking for my Groogle details, I input them, and it kicks me back out to ask me them again.
Any advice greatly received.

M8 issues after upgrading frimware

yesterday I updated the M8 ( S802) firmware using a version I found in this video https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=zJPI7JHZZUc ( I know big mistake) and it worked fine however the Bluetooth option disappeared from the setting menu so I would like to go back to the stock firmware.
I was trying to install the ROM I found at http://blog.geekbuying.com/index.php...ased-20150305/ but when the upgrade starts it goes to 50 % and the M8 just reboot without doing any updates.
Any advise or support will be really appreciated .
thanks
