Old Android TV box connected to TV via HDMI cable - Audio
New Android TV box connected to same TV, using same cable - No audio
New Android TV box connected to same TV, using newer cable - No audio
New Android TV box connected to another TV, using same or new cable - Audio
New Android TV box connected to same TV, via HDMI input of old Android TV box using either cable - Audio


I have read of handshaking issues being a potential problem but wonder if any HDMI/Audio experts may be able to shed some light on what seems illogical to me.

I'm no expert but can you check your tv hdmi audio settings. One of the options, Analog or digital or auto..
