German Coby Kyros Tablets (1Ghz, 512MB RAM) got 4.1 Jelly Bean. Take this Arnova ;)

just saw on the net that the German Coby Kyros Tablets recently have been updated to 4.1 Jelly Bean,
and it actually looks like it's running quite well with only 512MB RAM.

I thought that maybe Finless could have a go and create an even cooler ROM for the Arnova G2/G3s,
but unfortunately no source code is currently released and the models have a different CPU (Telechip).

But at least, it shows that our Arnova's with 512Mb could run with 4.1, if we had the appropriate software.

Let me just point out. A 7" screen requires a lot less processor and memory caching. A 10.1 screen will have less perfomance than a 7" screen. So while it may run fine on a 7" tablet as you go bigger, it gets harder.

I will point out that those with 9G2's with 512, in the end did not like the performance of ICS compared to Gingerbread and many went back to my 2.1 ROM or something else. I believe this is again due to screen size in relation to memory and performance.

I could be wrong and maybe if the kernel is more optimized it can be done, but we would need someone that really knows how to make kernels to even try anything.

How about Arnova 7g2 ( 7 inch. screen)? I think coby and ARN7G2 is brother =) (1Ghz,512RAM) and I think ICS or JB will be very better for ARN7G2
