Unless things have changes, 4oD was designed only to work with unrooted devices.

I'll install and check though to compare notes.

If it doesn't the the work around will likely be the XBMC addon.

      Just as I thought.

      Minimum Requirements
      • Requires Android OS 4.0.4 and above
      • Browse the app and stream videos using mobile data or Wi-Fi
      • For security reasons, rooted devices are not supported

Added thr 4.06 script to XBMC but that is no longer working either.

A quick scout around shows that channel 4 have done something to scupper that too.

So I tried to watch through the stock browser but first you need to request the desktop site to get to 4oD.

Then when you finally get there, it tells you that you need flash player, so flash installed and it still refuses to acknowledge the presence of flash.

Not tried with Chrome browser yet.

          C4 don't seem a tad too overprotective.

              Isn't it VoD?
I think root isn't the problem (because you can hide or temp unroot), I think DRM is the problem...

4oD is a UK catch up option for our Channel 4 network but yes it is a form of video on demand.

DRM may well be the core root of the restriction imposed for Android with rooted devices.

                Unrooted ones do work.

The XBMC plugin used to work but they seem to have plugged that too.
