    Bacup tool for mk808b

    Hi folks!
    i set up my mk808b , but i would like to backup whole image from my device, because i am sure it will defect one day, so what are tools and procedure to create a backup.
    For flashing purpose i use roockchip batch tool , i saw there save button is it for imaging saving?

    If it is a standard MK808B then you don't really need to do a backup, there are plenty of stock roms around for you to flash if it fails.

    If you are unsure what you have and do not want to open it and see, and need a backup, there is the rockchip 2.0 tool that can be used, but if you get it wrong you won't know until you try flashing back.

    I am no expert, and I suspect that many people on here are not either, so I suggest this post to everyone asking about backing up their rom: LINK

    In particular, abdul_pt posted a tool that automates it all, backing up the important bits. I have tried it and it works on all my Rockchip devices. It uses ADB, so you will need to connect to your computer and enable USB debugging, but that is the hardest part of it.

      budgetgeek thanks for fast answer.
      I heavely use XBMC i added a lot of custom stuff , together with installed apps from google market.
      I want to backup image because its a lot of work to du customization again.

        so you want an entire copy of your rom, which i don't think is possible.

        if you are rooted, you can use titanium backup and it will restore everything after a flash of a new firmware.
