    Local OTA TV on X7?

I love watching movies and tv series on my X7 running wasser's rom and Kodi with Istream and Genesis. I play my X7 through HDMI to my Onkyo NR 626 reciever connected via HDMI to my Epson HC 3020 1080p projector. As you can see, I have no tuner to watch local OTA TV. I am currently still using basic cable for local channel news and sports. I am wondering if the X7 can be used to watch LOCAL OTA TV using some kind of tuner or tuner/DVR. I saw this device on newegg for only $85 shipped free with a flat digitaltv antenna.

SiliconDust HDHomeRun Dual HDHR4-2US HD Digital Network Attached TV Tuner Device. Two Digital Tuners, Anywhere on Your Network
    Works with popular DVR software
    Seamless operation with multiple computers
Its says it is UPNP and DLNA compatible and works with smart tvs, smart bluray players and with crossplatform XBMC. So my question is "Has anyone had experience running this or something similar on an android directly as a separate app or through android XBMC?" This appears to be the last step toward completely cutting the cable to Dish or Cable TV and still having my local news and sports live to all my tvs. It supposedly will allow recording of shows, but would that be recorded on the X7 SD card, external HDD attached to the X7 or ext HDD directly to the Linksys Ea4500 router's usb ports? Anyone tried this sort of thing? Does it have approval from your wife yet?

I have an older HDHomerun tuner without DLNA, and also the newer one HDTC-2US. I have been testing a lot of the Android boxes using XBMC for the player. The best device so far, when it comes to streaming the mpeg 2 TS is the RK3288 box. All the other boxes I have have problems with streaming HD video. they are jerky. With this Beelink R89 box, even the HD channels play flawlessly. The 1080i streams without any dropped or skipped frames. The 720P has some dropped and skipped frames but not noticeable. Also, no audio video sync issues.

Silicondust has an updated View app for android and it is just fantastic, HOWEVER, it does have issues while streaming the HD channels, where as XBMC plays the same HD channels flawlessly.
