Unfortunately they seem to be dead and are in keeping with other manufacturers of android devices... They seem to have moved onto their new devices and left their faulty software behind on the older devices.
Personally I will never by an android player from them or any other supplier again.
My next HTPC will be a windows machine and certainly not the Intel one from the so called ruler of android devices. -
They are currently running a closed beta 9 test over on Minix. It's been made with the new SDK from AMlogic so you never know - might be worth the wait.......Comment

Rebuilding from scratch on the new SDK from amlogic will take time plus testing multiple apps - believe they are waiting for 1 more fix from amlogic before releasing beta 9Comment

$200.00 we paid for this crap. Not impressed at all and I like tinkering and such. Yes I understand the beta versions are not going to be perfect etc etc but the fact that these boxes get released nowadays without what seems to be any testing at all is just outrageous. Minix are the ones that keep giving dates they are going to release new firmware and then they don't come through and we get told to be patient and stop asking for our boxes to perform as advertised that we have already paid for. Oh but we should be grateful for their great commitment and customer service.
Sorry but I don`t see it that way. I would call it more like poor damage control.
Two weeks after I purchased the X8-H, I bought an Asus mini pc with Windows 8 ($300.00) and that's all I`ve been using without issue. Android sucks. My 2 centsComment
