After Install new firmware my box is stuck on a black screen with 4 penguins in top left corner.
Any ideas?

Give us some more information (device name, firmware and how did you flash), we have no information whatsoever and you are asking for our help, the problem with that is some of us are not psychics.

I got this off a friend with same box we bought together

OK, you have RK3188 device so its a start. Now go to google.com and search images and type RK3188 and find image of your box. There are many RK3188 devices with different hardware.

Make sure it looks 100% like yours.
