    Pipo P8 RileyROM 1.2 [Android 4.4.4]

This ROM is based on official Pipo firmware #167 dated 9/26/14.

    This ROM is:

    Rooted with ClockworkMod Superuser
    Debloated
    Init.d/Busybox support
Auto Install feature on first boot
English Default Language (All usual languages supported)
    Google Play Store fixes added
    Multi-User feature activated
    Reboot App by Petrus
2, 4, 6, 8, 10 or 12gb user app space (by choosing the desired parameter file). 4GB is the default setting in the flash tool.

I'm not sure what was fixed in the firmware release...there wasn't a change log.

    Enjoy!

    thanks to updated.

1.2 rom boots well on my p8.
i found some on 1.2 as below.

    1. rilyrom logo reversed during starting
    2. autoinstall isnt work, i created "autoinstall" folder in sd card
    3. i dont know why, the system brightness function falts (it is fine on #167 stock rom). the screen change back to dark after adjusted, auto brightness isnt. i used 3rd party app i/o and it works.

thanks again and i got 10gb internal storagr for apps installation

            Hi
Before installing this custom rom, do I need to dump stock rom? Or is just there a stock rom that I can flash in warranty event ?
            1. if can use existing stock rom: where is it and which tool do I use to flash?
            2. If I must dump: wich tool do I use?

The RileyROM zip file contains the dump tool and instructions. If you have a problem I can share you the stock firmware...I would just have to upload it for you.

                            Hi Riley,

I have a Pipo m9 Pro I've owned for 2 months now and it crashes when opening most apps, and is incredibly slow especially with Chrome opening any website takes a few minutes before the Pipo responds. I also regularly have to press the reset button as my Pipo freezes a lot on apps. So I thought I'd upgrade to your rom and hope a fresh starts will make a difference.

I have followed you instruction guide I downloaded with the above 4.4.4 kitkat package.
In the .zip file I get a "Androidtool.exe" and when I open this as admin user I first get a warning saying: "Loading config file failed" then tool then opens but all the buttons/text is in Chinese?

In the "Rom_Dump_tool" folder I can find a "Rom_Dumper_tool.exe" and when I open this I get the AndroidTool v2.1 which is the one shown in your user guide and corresponds with your pictures, has the same buttons etc. Is THIS the tool I use for flashing your 4.4.4 RileyRom to my Pipo or is this the Dump tool for saving my current/factory rom? Or both?

I have installed the win7 driver as shown in your guide, and using the Dump_tool attached my Pipo m9 and it is found,..... I then used the switch function and that worked with the "found Loader" access now in place so I am ready for flashing,.... but I think it shows my current installed loader/rom or the rom stuff found in the Dump_tool folder and not the Riley_rom files shown in your guide.... so I am a little stuck and want to play safe before I continue, any advice welcome!
                            Cheers, Sean

I'm a noob,... just realised this is the P8 and not M9 firmware,.... or will this work on a m9 as well?

First of all, NO this firmware won't work on anything but a P8.

Yes, the tools are the same...the one in the main folder is just newer. Let me check the zip file and see if there is a problem with the config. Stay Tuned!
