Help Please! - stable working ROM needed for tronsmart CX-919 ver. 2.0 RK3188T AP6210

Hello everyone - I have been months trying every ROM / kernel combo I can find on these forums to get my Tronsmart CX-919 ver. 2.0 RK3188T AP6210 TV stick to work properly but all of them crash, reboot or freeze. I have replaced the stock power supply with a regulated 2.5 amp one and drilled holes in the case to add extra cooling but still can't get this POC to work. I would have sent it back to Tronsmart but they wanted it returned via registered mail and the cost of sending it back to China registered is almost as much as the stick cost itself.
Has anyone found a stable working version to work with this hardware - I just want to use it with the bedroom TV to stream Netflix, Hulu, XBMC, etc. I would be happy with 720P just so long as it's stable.
I tried the Finless 1.6b and it reboots all the time and won't download and install Netflix app.
The Neomode 1.9a has problems also with this stick.
    The Neomode 3.0 & 3.1 won't boot.

Any ideas would be greatly appreciated otherwise I will own a paper weight (and not a good one at that)

try to place your stick over a cooling fan (maybe on a laptop cooling base) and see if this solves your problems. Some sticks is too sensitive when CPU run on high temperatures.

Well the original stock ROM would not play video smoothly so that is why I have been trying the custom ROM's from here. I looked on the Tronsmart and the Geekbuying.com web sites for the original version but I don't think the one's posted there are the actual "original" loaded at the factory version as they are listed as Finless etc.

Thanks for the idea - I will direct a fan at the stick and see if that makes any difference or not. You would think Tronsmart would not release hardware that has inadequate cooling? I guess nothing is made properly any more it seems.
