Tried to install Linux with a USB/RJ45 adapter
I tried to install picuntu on my MK808B, USB/RJ45 adapter. The adapter is an SMC EZconnect 2202 but it's not detected in Linux. Now I'd like to go back to regular Android but the MK808B won't connect to my PC so I can't use RockChip Batchtool to install anything. Is there anything else I could do, otherwise the MK808B will end up in the garbage, I'm not a computer guru. The Windows 8.1 driver is installed on my PC but everytime I plug it using OTG port, I get a message saying that the USB device is not recognized...Last edited by Nico3d3; 05 October 2014, 02:07.Tags: None

Did you use Win 8.1 previously to flash the device?
I spent hours trying to get MK808B to recognize/flash on Win 8.1 and it just won't work. Works on Win 7 every time, though.
Here are a couple posts I made trying to help people with Win 8 flashing:
My suggestion is to not waste any time attempting to flash in Win 8/8.1 --- I know that it's inconvenient trying to find a friend or relative to let you use their computer to flash your MK808, but trying to flash in Win 8 is frustrating and might even be impossible.

I used a Windows 7 livecd with RockChip batchtool and.... it worked. It was almost too easy. Installing Linux proved to be too much challenge for me, but at least I got Android working again. I'm just tired of having troubles playing Flash video. I installed Minix ROM for now, in my case I don't care about Antutu benchmark result, I just want something that work. I do need working flash video playback. On some sites, it work flawlessly, on others it's not working at all.Last edited by Nico3d3; 06 October 2014, 19:02.
