Yuandao N101 II will not boot

    Hello,

Since yesterday i have this tablet in my possession.
I powered it on and saw that tablet was already rooted and foreseen with ICS.
However i noticed that when the tablet went to sleep mode (dunno how you call it really) and i wanted to look at settings etc the tab did not respond to touching the power button.

After a while i could access it again but now then same problem reoccured.
2day the same but i was able to get it out of sleep and put the N101-2 JellyBean Finless 1.4 CWM BETA1.rar on.

But the problems still remains it is now 2 hours later and still no reaction if i press power button

Someone here with some help with problem.

    Thank you

No one here with a solution or a tought?
Battery charger is working. Tablet was charged @100%.
Still if the tab is/went to sleep it is not possible to make it alive again.
No matter what i try with the power button nothing happens.

The only thing i can do is go in flash mode and install other firmware then it boots up.

Tab useless or is it firmware/software problem.

That does not sound like firmware to me.

Got a reply @vondroid forums containing this.

rk29-keypad.kl in /system/usr/keylayout has the following if you open it up as text and has rw-r--r-- permissions.

          key 59 MENU
          key 102 HOME
          key 114 VOLUME_DOWN
          key 115 VOLUME_UP
          key 116 POWER WAKE
          key 143 NOTIFICATION WAKE
          key 158 BACK
          key 212 CAMERA
          key 217 SEARCH

I don't know what you would need to change but it might be possible to swap around something.

I dunno what to do with it, maybe someone here can shed some light on it.

Just got one of these and the same problem has started.
No flashing. No mucking about with FW.
Power button stopped waking it after a couple of weeks good service.

Does it start if you connect to the power supply?

                Sort of...yes.
                Tab is fully charged.
                Screen goes to sleep.
                On/off button does not wake.
                Power lead plugged in.
                Screen/tablet will now wake.

Does this mean it's the HW button or possibly a FW issue (as above)?

Re: Yuandao N101 II will not boot

Once its back on, if you remove the power will it continue to work ok until it enters sleep?

I ask as I've seen many bad psu issues.

Yeah I think so...it seems to be working fine with psu removed but I've been unwilling to let it sleep until I can back everything up (just in case it bricks)

                    Thanks for your help...

When you are using the tab does pressing the power button have any effect?

It has an intermittent effect...sort of.

Press it once, it does nothing.
                        Press again, still nothing.
Press again, maybe hold a bit, still nothing.
Go to press again, it's come on from the last press.

All random, sometimes it'll work the first press.

Thats what's confusing me...if it's hardware then why so random?
