Why can't I get Dolby Digital sound from CS918 rk3188 Android TV box linked to Sony AVR?

Re my previous post above, any chance of getting a reply or a link to some step-by-step guide to installing the latest Wasser firmware ?

At first you have to open the box and determine what version your PCB is.
There are about 20 modifications of board inside the box whose name is CS918/MK888/MK88B/K-R42/T-R42... and this number increases day after day.

After you do you will be able to search compatible custom firmware for your definite device.
There is no 100% confidence that some wasser's ROM will suit to your hardware configuration.

Tx very much, digger, especially for the link...but OMG how scary it is to know that these custom firmwares might not work at all. I will tell the shop who sold it to me to see what they aregoing to do about it as this seems really complex.

OK tx, Deivs. Do you have a link to where I can get this firmware and a link for a tutorial on how to install the firmware as I don't have a clue how to do it

EDIT: Deivs, I don't think this firmware is good for my box as I am running 4.4.2 android version and a Google search I just did shows that the firmware you told me about is for android 4.2.2. Can you please confirm ???
