Prestigio PMP3384B no chance to upgrade to ICS??

    Dear all.

i have this tablet Prestigio PMP3384b, and i'm stuck with Android 2.3.

i look at many sites, downloaded many custom roms but without success to make it work with iCS

the problem is that this tablet has resistive touch screen with 800x600 resolution, see link bellow.

i found that this tablet PMP5080B is almost the same, except for the touch screen which is capacitive , but there is official support for the ICS.

i would like to ask if somebody can look at those, if there is a chance to pick up the firmware of pmp5080b and make it work on pmp3384b...

i will do the testing, no problem for that..

    thank you in advance

extracting drivers from firmware and injecting into Android 4 ICS

    Dear Finless.

is there any chance of extracting drivers from firmware Android 2.3 and injecting into Android 4 ICS, because i have a tablet with resistive touch screen, but can't find working ICS firmware???

    thank you in advance...

    with best regards

Completely NOT possible. The kernel has changed from GIngerbread to ICS is such a way that drivers or KO modules will NOT work between the 2. TRUST ME I HAVE TRIED!

The only way to make a Gingerbread device work with ICS is a complete kernel recompile and a SDK compile.

        Dear Finless,

of course i TRUST you, there's no question about...

the point is that i have found this other tablet PMP5080B with official ICS support - is almost identical only the touch screen is different i think ( resistive vs capacitive ), i even update my tablet with it, everything fine, but the screen won't work...

is there any chance you can help me somehow??

at least is there any chance of creating custom rom for my tablet??

        with best regards

Unlike gingerbread the screen drivers are now integrated with the ICS kernel. So it is not possible to change the screen driver without kernel source code and a recompile. Sorry but again I have tried many times to port ICS to GB kernels and it will just not work.

              Dear all.

i managed to install ICS on my tablet Prestigio PMP3384b with working resistive touch
the firmware is of : nextbook7p_s_stock_rom
the thing's that are not working for now is:
              wrong resolution 800x480 ( my is 800x600 ) ,
              the wifi won't work,
              the picture won't rotate,
              there is no sound...

there is the specification of the tablet if someone know about same product with ics functional at 100%.
