I like windcar's point about pointing out known hardware issues. When I was writing my Tronsmart Vega S89 review for my personal site, I came across noderat's FAQ. Even though I write for a different audience (i.e. non-developers), I made sure that each of those points were addressed in my article.
I think that as Android mini PCs become more popular we need to be aware that the reviews are going to reach a wider audience than just other developers and geeks.
I'm not a developer, so I can't speak to the same level of detail. What I do try to do is speak to the general usability of the device and try to give people a feel for what it is like to have it sitting in your living room.
