What's your user experience what the tronsmart remote control?

A couple days ago I received the unit. I'm curious to hear from other users what their experience has been with the remote control. In my case we were shipped two remote controls. One of them worked and the other did not. The unit is extremely sensitive position of remote control. I updated to the latest firmware & it helped the issue some, but I still have to have it pointed right at the unit to get reliable input. That being said I'm a little disappointed but am I alone in experiencing this?

If you have an Android phone, use the contol app to control the tv box from your phone

The original remote supplied was the worst I have ever seen and was practically useless.

Support for it in the firmware has also been dropped, so only the revised model will work in future.

Nobody that received the original has been given a replacement yet, although that have been promised one.

According to this thread I think I have the most current version of the remote control?

I have the one as depicted in the above link.

If that's indeed the case is it the fault of the remote control for the unit itself receiver?
I've noticed the current unit that I have to point the remote below or at the unit. If I point the remote above the unit the reliability of the input drops completely.
