R28 and AV jack audio?

I know this is a strange question, but does the audio from xbmc playback through the AV jack ok?

I want to get the R28 for my father and he doesnt have a receiver. All that it will be used for is movies and tv shows played back through xbmc, and maybe the occasional youtube. via wifi. At the current stage of development, will this box be ok for this? It wont be used for high bitrate or 4K... yet anyway.

Would add to this question:
I am looking for a not so expensive device to put in an in-car a/v installation, integrated with the oem (Toyota touch and go plus with navi - without Mirrorlink ), so I need a simple Video output: this is the question: is the A/V out in this product able to send out Not Only audio L+R signals BUT Also a composite CVBS Video signal? Experience anyone had?

I have also a problem at UBOX (same pcb) with A/V...
- If I connect the yellow(video)/red(audio)/white(audio) at my TV and change at settings to [TV] I got audio (touch sound) and my TV identifies 576i but I only see trash (also tested all three output at video input and also switched between PAL and NTSC) ...
- The same if I use a scart-adapter at the scart-port at my TV...
- If I connect the A/V at the box later (after boot at HDMI) the TV automatically recognise a signal but the same trash...

I boot the system at HDMI took a dmesg and also one after I had connected the A/V-cable (parallel to the HDMI) but because there isn't any different at the dmesg I also got a logcat (instead of the second demesg)...

But I have to answer here, because I have to roll back, because now everything is FINE
Please don't ask my why and how because I'm sure I had also tested it with only a/v connected (and not also the HDMI) but now, with only a/v connected, I get video at scart (576i)...
(In the meantime I had, to be sure that the cable and the adapter is fine, it tested with my rk3188 device, which also works only at the same configuration (a/v only))
