1.could you use a new charger and new usb cable to connect to power firstly, and the use a new hdmi cable to connect to other TV,

Well,My new unit came as advertised with latest firmware and hdmi seems to be solid.all apps work good getting to know the feel of the remote,I do have a air mouse/keyboard though that works fully with the tronsmart unit.only weak point I can see is the remote it comes with,but that is weak point for all the tv boxes.Geekbuying.com shipped it very fast I received it 6 days from the time of initial order.it was well packaged and secure.I have to admit I was a little skeptical from some of the negative posts that some were posting.that probably should have been resolved with personal messaging.So far I am very satisfied with my purchase.I Hace A satechi unit that the tronsmart replaced it was the A9 rockchip 3188 which was adequate ,but was very sluggish when I get a little more comfortable with doing a firmware upgrade I will try it on the sarechi unit.I will post more on the tronsmart atr a later time as I use it more and more.

Like mine, HDMI worked very well the first few weeks...
Had to re-solder it, but I will replace the HDMI port though, because of the poor contacts quality.
Otherwise a good working box, but cheapest components and a poor, overall build quality.
Lesson learnt, never again!
I guess, the few bucks more for a Minix are well spent.

That is Exactly the way I feel on Every Point.HDMI is still working after 10 days,Lesson Learned,Stay Away From Tronsmart,Although I have gotten it to work decently,I will try the minix X8 next or the rockchip 3288.It is still early for these new chips lot more to be learned and prices will drop after the holidays.

I will wait for the Google Nexus Player and especially the Minix NEO Z64.

The Tronsmart will be retired now and running as a "Home server" and Internet radio player, since I can't get a new HDMI port locally and I don't want to order a lot of 25 ports from China.
Also Bluetooth doesn't function with the 109 Firmware and one USB port works unreliable.

Time for a new toy.
