I have not got a bad thing to say about the TRONSMART Orion R28 Meta,It rely is a great device its worth every penny (yes i did buy mine)i cant compare it with the r89 as i don't have one of them.

Is the firmware released by Beelink and Tronsmart the same since it is the same pcb?
I found a firmware on the Tronsmart forum and wonder if it is the same as this one, since both is called 110K4

Do you know wich rom to prefer? Do I have to use the one from tronsmart if I have a R28 to get the OTA? I would like to try Finnless' rom and I understand that it is based on the firmware from Beelink.

OK folks, I put the latest firmware on the FreakTab server so you can download it here.

I will update this post whenever a new firmware comes out.

I zip the IMG file to make it smaller so unzip this download to use it with the flash tool.

New Firmware Beelink R89 on Geekbuying Issue

When I first bought this device it was running smoothly with the stock xbmc and the stock firmware. This update on geekbuying.com website came up http://blog.geekbuying.com/?p=14997 and I have downloaded and installed the Kodi 14.0 Helix. I cannot fast forward a movie without the kodi crashing i.e. minimize. I have also tried installing Wasser 2.0.1 with the same issue. Any idea how to fix this problem? I now reverted to my M8 Amlogic S802 device whenever my son plays with the remote and shuts the movie halfway since I cannot catch up where I left in Kodi. I tried using Gotham 13.2 but the same issue is occurring as well?
