UT1 wasser 4.2.2. not recognised by win8 pc...cannot upgrade to kitkat

    Hi there

ive somehow arrived at a position where having at first successfully installed wasser rom on my ut1...i now cant get it to connect via usb to my laptop. (hoping to upgrade to kitkat so...)

windows gives a 'device not recognised type error'

I did use a spoofing app at one point and perhaps this has something to do with it(?)

I half suspect i might need to get a unaltered copy of wasser's build.prop?
or maybe its just a case of using different drivers or something?

anyway: if anyone can provide any advise i would appreciate it.

The problem may be un update from Microsoft ...

    Try this :

Go to your system folder C:\Windows\System32\drivers and back-up these 2 files (usbhub.sys , usbport.sys). Then run as admin the file 'franken-usb.bat' or copy over yourself the provided 2 files from the archive over the original existing ones inC:\Windows\System32\drivers.

Restart your PC. Install RockUSB driver .

Can some kind person please help me out.I'm stuck with the same problem as the op.Running Windows 7 but can't connect to my Ugoos UT1 running wassers JB firmware.I want to upgrade to KK but it wont show up on any computer(tried 3 different laptops) and different cables.

I've tried the solution by mghome 59,moborobo and countless other ways but it never shows up in the device manager.Anybody got any more suggestions for me.

      Cheers Vinny

A friend installed it for me using an older windows. It seems that an older windows 7 or Vista might do the trick. Newer Windows versions do not detect the chip simply..

I'm running Windows 7 and there's nothing showing up.I was thinking of running Linux from a usb stick and see if it shows up then.
