NEW Minix Neo X8/X8-H Stock BETA 009-2 in flashable ZIP format

OK folks. Minix is releasing their ROMs as flashable images using the AML flash tool.

Unfortunately Windows 8.1 users have problems getting the drivers installed and the flash tool working.
I don't have Windows 8 so cannot test why the drivers are a problem.

But.... here is the stock ROM in ZIP update format.

This is the Minix X8 BETA 009-2 - 10/19 ROM just released.

This time my ZIP includes the init folder! Sorry about messing that up last time.

NOTE: THIS WILL ERASE YOUR DEVICE! So backup anything you want to keep!
Minix is not releasing ZIP updates only flash tool updates. The flash tool erases the box!
There is a reason for this.
Major updates it is much better to erase as you don't know what junk is left from previous ROM that can cause problems! As people saw on an update that did not erase, things were not right like a missing stock browser, etc.

Thanks a lot for the great work.

Anyone noticed that Airpin pro stopped working or is it a conflict with iOS 8.1? Both XMBC Airplay and AirPin pro are not seen anymore by my iPad after the update.

Another "thank you" for this, Finless. I'm a Win 8.1 user, so the AML flash tool method would've caused my much unhappiness. Over and above that, this ROM seems to have sorted out a problem with an X8-H unit with a random "black screen" problem. The previous beta ROM did not fix it, but the unit seems to be stable so far

Hi there, is there a difference between the Finless zip flash and Hardwareguru's flash? If so, can someone please explain what the difference is. I tried searching for this but have not seen anything.
