Try it again with a new download. Seems to me the download is corrupted. Be sure to use unzip to unpack the download once. Had here the same troubles when i use arc or arj to unpack. The unpack was oké, but with install i got the same messages. When i tried unzip the problems were gone and i could flash without any message.

Just for clarification as I only got the box yesterday.

For option 3 do you need recovery.img on the SDcard. I see that .aml file is a command file. Only for option 1 do you say copy all the files on to to the SDcard.

Update: I went for option 1, flashed successfully. :-) I'm still curious why recovery.img is needed.

Yes it works from USB too but i guess you should follow the exact instructions in the text file

Whilst this ROM works quite well IMO, it did not solve my "random black screen" problem. So I'm trying to RMA the unit to Geekbuying.

From a usability perspective, I find Beta 009-2 seems (subjectively) smoother than Beta 008 and it ran perfectly for a day, before the black screen problem reappeared. I think this is caused by a defective unit though.
