i suspect you cant as the tweaker will root your device.... why would this be a problem ?

Some apps won't work if your device rooted.

Why don't you start reading several topics about passthrough before asking an question that is asked a dozen of times and answered a few k of times..

Seriously... i have searched and i have found dozen of threads but the question in hand was related to this firmware thread meaning, does passthrough work with this rom or is it still none working like all the other firmwares. its an honest question which will affect my choice of buying a unit.

If i said something or did something wrong im sorry but i thought this was a community where questions asked in singel threads where related to the exact thread it self.

I will be using xbmc and except to get DD/DTS 5.1, if it works i would like to know if anyone has tested DTS-HD (uncompressed audio) if someone could test it i would be thankful.

You where asking (see above) and the answer I give was related to that question. But in short:
No the DTS-HD passtrough wont work as it should because of cpu limitations. So there's you answer.

I'm not the audio specialist but I read something about HD via PCM at other s802 devices...

so maybe PCM is the key-word but I don't know about any effects to the quality...

Installed Beta 009-2 today and this ROM tweaker. Runs flawlessly! Super easy to install and very newb friendly. My XBMC version says 13.3, so that may answer your question above.

One thing I have a question about is the frequency switcher that comes preinstalled on XBMC. How does it work? Do the default settings work out of the box? I started an HD stream of Modern Family and it shows up as SD, but never switched over to HD, even after letting it buffer while paused. Am I doing something wrong here?

Any input would be appreciated.

Anyone use Google Play Music? It doesn't seem to work for me for some reason. I just get a white screen for a second or two and then it closes.

If I'm not wrong it only switches the frequency.
If you use 1080p@60Hz and view a content with e.g. 24fps it will switch to 1080p@24Hz and after that back to 1080p@60Hz ...
