power problem really really need some advice:)

Hi guys, now Im hoping this has been asked a million times and everyone is not sick of answering

I have just been given a couple of archos 10 g2 on the back they say model a101c.

Now i did not receive any power leads. So i thought how hard can it be to figure out what they need ...

I sent off for one (it came and it was the wrong connector, it had a mini usb end...) next i ordered one that was a usb charger, im not so sure its the right thing...

So where i am at now is if i plug the usb charger into the tablet the power light flashes red and green, unless i hold the power button and press the volume buttons...... then it goes green.

However this doesnt seem right to me so i have not left it charging just in case...

Anyone got any advice for me please

If you haven't already, flash Bob's latest ROM - It will transform the tablet.

The original charger is 5v 2a (Part No. HNC05 02000X) On my 10 G2, the power light goes be green for a few seconds then changes to red until fully charged when it reverts to green. Your USB set up doesn't sound right.

thanks a lot i thought it didnt seem right....my other half went and bought me a charger from maplin for £15... worked a treat on 2 of the tablets...(i got 4) the other 2 seem to have issues at the moment but i will see what i can do

If the two units are not charging at all (no charging light), it could be that the middle pin has broken on the circuit board. This is down to poor design and reported frequently on the forum.

Read this post since some resourceful members have found a cunning way around the problem.

By the way, if haven't already then you should try flashing Finless Bob's masterpiece Gingercomb PRO ROM 2.2a. It transforms the tablet from a Reliant Robin into a BMW Z4

HI again

Well, i have a charger. it works ... one of the 10 g2 i have works fine, nothing wrong, the other however is a different story, the charger goes in, the light goes green and then nothing, cant seem to get it to turn on...
