Will Android Lollipop come to current devices?

Just curious, if possible to disclose, will Beelink release Lollipop, and preferably Android TV builds, for the current R89 devices..? I guess Rockchip is still preparing the BSP, but wonder if we'll need new devices and if the current line-up will be abandoned...?

Rockchip To Offer Android 5.0 To Partners, at least for RK3288

This is good news for some of us.

        I would have thought so.

Google allowed many devs to prepare for it's release way back in June.

Competition amongst vendors may also inspire one of them to be first to the table to increase their sales.

          What about 4G LTE?

          I didn't know that.

A few weeks ago I asked PiPO for their intention as regards Android 5.0 but they avoided the question. I shall wait for a formal statement from PiPO before I buy.

They have tablets to sell and there can't be many people who would buy a new device now without at least confirmation that Lollipop will be forthcoming, if not actually pre-installed.

The Rockchip statement is very welcome though.

Now that is resolved, my next question is regards 4G LTE. That is the other essential 'must have' capability and which can't that far away from availability on PiPO devices?

Asking PIPO or any other maker will get you know where. RockChip will need to port Lillipop and make a SDK these device makers can use. This is due to proprietary parts that we never get sources for like Mali as an example.

A quick Google search seems to tell me that some have successfully got 5.0 running on RK3188 devices. Is that true? And if so, should we expect it for our rockchip devices soon?
