Let me clarify here. I got all sorts of errors when I renamed the framework-res. Then the new one wouldn't copy over completely. I finally got it copied and rebooted and now it is stuck on the boot animation.

Going to reflash and start over.

ok step by step

first with rootexplorer take copy modded file.
than go to the original file and rename it first.yoy got errors thats normal.then copy immediately the modded file and set permission and reboot

OK I got it working.

Something in systemui is making task bar disappear.

Edit: Setting permissions fixed that.

OK I got it working.

Something in systemui is making task bar disappear.

Edit: Setting permissions fixed that.

can you give me the wright permissions for the files ?
is it rw-r-r for all the 3 files.

I just gave all permissions to both.

Right now, I can't get settings to run. It says it isn't installed. When I try to load the settings.apk it blocks the installation because it isn't set to side load an app

Since I can't get into security settings to change that...what do I do? Is there a back door to those settings somewhere...or was it set that way in your file?

I did that. Trying to run settings still says "app not installed". Trying to run it manually gives me the security error.

I'm sure I set this to allow unknown sources before I started, because I always check this after a reflash.

I finally got the old settings to load. I tried redoing the copy and setting permissions. Still no luck. Now I'm rebooting to see if that helps.
