    Beelink MXIII 1Gb - AMLinux

    Hi,

details and download link here: http://www.stane1983.com/amlinux/

This is or is not test release. I do have only MXIII 1Gb device with Realtek wifi. However, both wifi modules should be supported. I need feedback from users with ap6181 if wifi works.

Install is with sdcard, however, you might not see any progress or you will see scrambled screen during install process. For some reason Android recovery system is not shown on screen. Once installed, device will reboot into AMLinux.

NOTE: This is firmware, it will erase your Android and all of your data

Update: 2014-10-26 version updated, lost settings issue fixed.

    Cheers,
    Stane1983

Gonna test this today. Is there a particular firmware we should flash this on top of or doesn't it matter?

                  Device M82 - MXIII 1G/8G with 2.4Ghz b/g/n AP6181 802.11 Chip...

Stock ROM WiFi does NOT work....
After applying the chmod though Puttytel though, it can "see" the local 'net.
Problem is I can NOT connect to any of it. Be it, WPA or WPA2 much less when I have deactivated any encryption at all...

Otherwise this ROM seems to be fine.
I'd like to ask you some questions about what kind of Linux is used on AMLiunx. i.e. Debian, Redhat, Arch or some other. Is it possible to install things like build-essential..
Or more to the point iw. In order to try configuring the WiFi though the Command Line?

I'm also curious as to the IR Protocol used on the MXIII ~type~ boxes, and whether it uses LIRC, or the newer kernel method.
IIRC from my YaVDR Days... IR-Keymaps? I'd desperately would love to ditch the stock Remote, and use my Haromony One with it. I'm thinking this much should be possible.

                  *EDIT*

                  I really am an Idiot....
It turns out that AMLinux must have altered the MAC Address of my MXIII (M82), Box.
And in having done so was no longer permitted onto my Network. MAC Filtering = True on my Router. Having turned it off temporally. I was able to finally connect to my Network

So forget everything I said its all working now...
