    .NM file

I was looking at an extracted system.img and amongst the apks's in the app folder, there was an app that had the file extension .NM

Anybody know why there would be such a file naming convention, when .apk is the standard?

It then installs the app as a user instead of a system app and can be un-installed by you later, the same as a pre-install script folder to install user apps on first boot but easier to set up and no changes needed to boot.img.
