    AP6335 Max Speed?

I've been debating an Rk3288 purchase, but have held back because I think I may be disappointed in the wifi performance. The ap6335 is the best wifi available, but can someone comment on the top theoretical speed?

I read that it's 2x2 AC, no MIMO. Does that mean the max theoretical speed is going to be equivalent to a single stream solution, 433Mbps?

I recently upgraded my router and pc wifi adapter to 867Mbps and the results have been awesome across two floors. My most strenuous test file, high bitrate 3D 1080p wouldn't play without stuttering on the same pc with wireless N. It also won't play well on my Nexus 5 which is single stream AC, even next to the router. But it plays beautifully with dual stream wireless AC. Anyone done a similar test on the AP6335?

At the moment the Ap6335 is theorectically the fastest solution used in tablets/boxes. It can cope with one 80 mhz channel and, hence, has a theorectical limit of 433 mb/s
Measy U4B (=Tronsmart T428) used by my kids!

Thanks for the detailed reply! That's exactly what I wanted to know.

The Nexus player supposedly has 2x2 mimo wifi, so maybe it's as fast as I'd hoped. Unfortunately, I think benchmarks will be low and I don't expect it to be 4K capable.

The Z3560 should handle 4K. But no full size USB ports kind of kills it for me. Would love to see a port of AndroidTV on rk3288 soon.

True - no full size points is terrible. I hope a USB host cable (micro to full) will work with the device, however. Then it wouldn't be a true loss.

While it could handle 4K, I believe it's only reported to have an HDMI 1.4 port. So I'm not sure it could ever output 4K, which is disappointing. I've also daily been looking for benchmarks, but have found none yet.

My Imito QX1 (early adopter mistake) is finally dying, so I may have to make a decision. It looks like the RK3288 devices have better benchmarks, connections, and processing power overall - but the Nexus Player has the better wifi and operating system.

I still use an MK809III which is running fine, so I could theoretically sit this round out. Hmmm.

Hdmi 1.4 can handle 4k up to 30Hz. Maybe we can OTG with the micro usb port. I'd wait for other manufacturers to release their own AndroidTV devices.

I've now taken my own thread way off topic, but if it's the Z3560, benchmarks are likely to be higher than the Rk3288. The new Asus Fonepad 7 that uses it, benches 45,000 in Antutu.

Nexus Player: Higher benchmarks, better wifi, better software

Rk3288: More RAM, potentially true 4K output, better connectivity

Intriguing decisions in this current generation.

                  Z3560 beats RK3288 hands down!

I must concur with above statements. I wouldn't consider RK3288 TV boxes if Google Nexus Player had an option with 2GB RAM and 16GB NAND storage for 20-30 bucks more. Single USB port isn't such a problem if you can connect USB HUB. Absence of SD card reader also when one have USB SD card reader.
