My MAC doesn't change, but I have a problem having my ethernet IP static. I enter all needed data (gateway, netmask, dns) in "Static IP Settings", but next time I go into settings, nothing is saved and all fields are empty again.

One other problem I've been thinkering about for awhile, is not been able to start FTP server inside Solid Explorer. Anyone using it, so it can be confirmed? Whether I use LAN or WLAN connection, the error message says "failed to bind to address 0.0.0.0". Fake Wifi Connection xposed module doesn't help either, although it helps configuring the server for SSID I'm connected to (otherwise I get unknown ssid and "none" for server address, which should be something like 192.168.x.x).

I am running the 1.4 Rom on Beelink R89. Works great with the already known problems (power off not working, power led not changing, cannot change to physical keyboard).

But I found an issue with the ethernet MAC address. It is changing at every reboot. I need a static MAC to be able to implement QoS rules for the box. Is there any reason why this is changing at reboot?

Can try to use kernel from this newer UBox firmware of 19/12/14
    http://www.mediafire.com/download/68...k4110_1219.img
I have this firmware, but after unpacking Im not find kernel.img. From this firmware Im took resource.img. Probably, the kernel there in the boot.img. And I dont know, may I flash "boot.img&resource.img" instead of "kernel.img&resource.img" ?

If you use the kernel.img & resource.img from UBox with the ROM, remote should work.
Might also need remote's *.kl file in /system/usr/keylayout folder for all the buttons to work.
The power button of the remote is mapped inside the kernel of Ubox.
So...I reflashing kernel.img & resource.img from UBox and now all good with switching off. Thank you! But I'm not sure, do not get lost if the tweaks wi-fi and other interesting changes from your firmware. I using kernel from here: http://www.freaktab.com/showthread.p...l=1#post247938
    Change this in /system/build.prop file
    ro.product.device=hammerhead to ro.product.device=rk3288
Need to be rooted and enable RW permission on system in ES File Manager.
If frequency switcher still doesn't work, then changing more things can make it work but then Youtube 1080p will not work. Please test if only above change still make Youtube 1080p work.
Thank you! Now everything good! And Youtube also work 1080p

You can try to use the kernel.img & resource.img with my ROM's after unpacking it with the flash tool.

    Many thanks for your information,
I downloaded the new stock firmware and tried to flash it to the unit with the RKM batch tool. I got "green light" when the unit was connected to my PC and the RKM batch tool found the new image file. Then I clicked on the update button. After a couple of seconds the "green light" button turns to red. Tried also the recovery button without any success.

Any idea to solve this problem?

    Regards/P-E

    Hi Mo123,
    does version 1,3 and/or 1,4 work on Rikomagic MK902ii?
I have one MK902ii with the stock firmware 20141106 and it has some problems with audio. The sound cuts of and sometimes the sound is "blurry". This happens mostly after pausing a movie. Most of the times the sound comes back after restarting the unit.
Since the Rikomagic forum site is poor and no activities at all and no updates of the firmware since 2014-11-06 I hope that your ROM will work.

mo123 , maybe what you meant brother was the improvements in spdif passthrough for xbmc or spmc... but definitely not with mx player , or even the stock player...

mo123 , thanks for replying... believe it or not , the latest 111k firmware got issues with the dts encoded mkv files (using stock and mx player) and finless 1.2 is truly superior in that... ironically , no dts audio issues in the 110k firmware when using such players.

i'm currently using finless 1.2 rom on my BEELINK R89 ( coz of it's magic with the spdif passthrough using stock and mx player ) , and as far as i know , if i'm going to flash my R89 with mo123's 1.4 rom i won't be able to switch off the device unless i unplug the power cord......
my question is ; if i'm going to flash my device with mo123's 1.4 rom shall i use kernel and resouce.img from finless 1.2 rom for me to be able to switch off my device in a normal way? and will i still be able to get dts and Dolby sounds from mkv files using spdif passthrough with my optical cable in the (stock and mx player)?..... thanks a million for all the developers....great great effort.

    PS: Sorry my english.

I think there would be a install or a readme text in there but if not then it should be simple I think u need to plug in your usb cable then with a toothpick pess and hold the button inside the av hole and plugin your power cable then you will see ur usb drivers installing once thats complete u can then start the flash utility and click on flash or install and wait for it to say complete. Once complete let it run for a couple of minutes b4 u unplug the device from ur computer.
