UG802 Sound Problem

    UG802 Sound Problem

    Hi

    I got my UG802 from in4dealz yesterday. I connected the device to my TV, logitech mk220 keyboard and mouse, usb 2 rj45 plug for the network.

    The device came up and I could set it up. everything look like working but no sound. Icould play videos ut no sound, I installed angry birds it works but without a sound.
    What did I do wrong? I wrote the seller ut the didn't respond yet
    can someone here help?

    I have similar issue where sound works fine on my Samsung tv however it doesn't work on my older Toshiba tv! Strange as the freesat box works fine on that Toshiba tv using the same hdmi port...
    Maybe you should test it on another tv?

      Hi

      I pluged it to another TV and it worked. now I have a problem, the TVset it should work with is the livingroom tv and funny it is a Tushiba tv.

        Unfortunately I haven't found a solution yet. I should point out that it us not the fault of Bob's Rom as it was the same with the stock Rom.

          I disagree, an hdmi version 1.3 is standard, and if it doesn't work with it something is wrong with the ug802, and since no one told us that then it's not us...

            There can be many issues with audio on HDMI. 1.3 standard or not.

            I have been studying this a little and claim to be no expert but the device and the TV must support one of the common audio formats.

            What we do not know is what the MK802 outputs. The specs do not say.

              Do you know what TV Sets are not compatible with the UG802?

                Thats the point. I do not know as the specs for the ug802 do not state what the audio ouptut format is. All TV's should support PCM audio but I do not know if the ug802 switches to that mode if it detects a TV that doesnt support the others. It may only output one format? Again I do not know.

                You might try going into your TV settings and see if you can change the audio settings and get it working.
