    poor playback

I have acemax m8 running bob's 1.8 ROM and I'm using spmc. But playback is not great, see PIC below. Are those skipped and dropped frames normal, seems high to me. That was watching a rip of my bluray man of steel.

Shld be fine as long as your not experiencing any playback issues...just watch a full 1080p movie see how it goes..

Lol, as I have said I did watch a full movie and had some playback issues. I just want to know if these figures for my video are high or normal?

It depends on the Video source! You seem to get poor playback performance if the Video on the Local Network! May be Frame skipped if the source from internet like Live-TV, for example!

FYI, Here is my M8 (XBMC V13-14) Streaming reference during Bluray Video played over LAN > 45Mbps - Screenshot! What we are expected is no Frame dropped or Frame skip!

Yes my playback was from nas, all hard wired though. Is that you streaming from the internet because no frames dropped or skipped is great.

No, It was from Gigabit NAS on full Bluray Disc!
Sorry, I meant some Frame skipped if streaming over Internet!

I'm streaming from netgear r6300 with a USB hard drive attached, which is supposed to be gigabit connection as well. My streaming stuff from internet plays better that playing my network attached content.

As said, it depends on the Video source! Did you get BDRip mp4/mkv from someone? Try different Video file? Your screenshot Video bitrate was less than 1Mbps @ 1080p, which does not seem be right!

I have a good size bluray collection and some TV series I got elsewhere. But all of my files seem to have poor playback. I guess I'll try attaching my USB storage directly to my m8 and see if that helps.

It probably will not help, as the M8 is notoriously bad with file playback and dropped/skipped frames and audio sync.
