i am on finless 2.0 for s89

when i was on another device on linux i would plug my external movie hard drive in, then on my pc i would select map network drive and i could see my movie folder, on this its not doing it, im sure its just some setting but im not sure what

Sounds like you probably had it set up as a Samba share or similar. I generally use this one on Android, https://play.google.com/store/apps/d...nkyfresh.samba but have never tried using it for anything but sharing the main storage area, so that specific one may not be useful for you.

weird i went to do install that it said i did not have root access, bob said 2.0 is rooted but, root checker says im not rooted?

Well that's odd. I haven't tried the ROM yet, but looking through the zip it should definitely be rooted. Maybe try flashing the recovery zip installation method to see if that fixes it? http://forum.xda-developers.com/show....php?t=1538053
