Seeking advice on first box

So I have recently found out about XBMC and like the interface to organize our movies. Previously we were using our Sony blu ray to play our movies from a USB drive. But it took a long time to scroll through the list of movies to find one.

I decided on a Android device. My choices were the Minix x8-h or the Tronsmart S89-h. But then I see that rk3288 boxes are available. But since I have a build up of Amazon credit I would like to purchase on that site. The one I found is a EKB328 model which I see is from a brand called Eny. However, it seems that no custom work is being done on those boxes like the above 2. So I have a few questions:

1) Does any rk3288 box have the ability to flash the roms from like the r28 or r89 boxes?

2) If I am only going to play mp4 (h264/AAC) movies from our stash on a external HDD, would the rk3288 be better than the S802-h chips?

3) For gaming, it is only light gaming as our kids are young so I figured the rk3288 will have no relevance here.

4) We will also stream from Netflix. And possibly from the addon Mashup to play some movies we don't have.

So I guess to sum up 2 to 4, what is the main benefit of rk3288 over the s802-h. Is it mainly for those who want high demand driven gaming? Or is it more than this.

Any advice would be appreciated as I know nothing about this.

Lets see.. what resolution is your collection.. does it include dolby/dts content?

My advice..
the s802-h chip is only usefull when your collection has dolby/dts.. and you have a good audio setup
