It's worse compared to XBMC 13.0 or 13.1 if you watch Live TV. Kodi 14 beta1 Live TV channel preview position is not centered if you zap to channel encoded with h264 http://www.freaktab.com/showthread.p...l=1#post240855
And if you continue switching some more channels encoded with h264 you'll get only audio and black screen. (109k4 firmware)

I have not experienced any of those problems streaming live tv in h264 format with this new Kodi beta. It is working very well for me on my Tronsmart Vega S89H. Did you do a clean install of this Kodi beta? One of my main uses of these boxes is for a PVR frontend for watching live tv from my OTA antenna.
          MK818B, T428, ATV 1220, CS918S, TV01, S89H, R89, ADT-1, MK808B Plus, MINIX X8-H Plus, Tronsmart Orion R68

What firmware have you installed on your Tronsmart? And perhaps our experience with Kodi beta 1 is different because we are using different PVRs. I watch Live TV with IPTV Simple client http://kodi.wiki/view/Add-on:IPTV_Simple_Client.

Working fine with S89 Finless 2.0, Tvheadup client, HD/SD channels. Kodi beta, and all alpha, SPMC.

Same issue than you with r28 RK3288... Sound, but black screen wih HD Channels (h264)... OK, with SD channels (MPG2). Kodi beta and all alpha BTW

Continue my observations. With Kodi beta 2 it became even worse. Now in addition to the issues described above, it's not possible to watch SD channels - I get black screen and sound only. And Kodi closes itself if I disable amcodec and then try to watch live IPTV.

Very strange! Beta 2 is an improve to RK3288 devices... Live TV h264 is now OK (before we have a black screen and sound)...

I now have run into the same issue using the latest Kodi nightly build (Nov. 10) with live TV streaming encoded with h264. I use the newest nightly almost every day just to see what they have changed, and sometimes it causes problems. I am sure in a couple of days, that problem will disappear.

                        Kodi beta nightly

                        Tronsmart Vega S89-H, Finless 2.0

I've been using SPMC with good results, thought I would try a Kodi build to compare. Installed the 11-15 nightly yesterday, added all my shares from my NAS, got set to watch something...and all files play super slow & jerky (as in one frame at a time slow), completely unwatchable,.mkv, .avi, .mp4. Tried with HW acc. off, no difference. Guess I'm staying w/ SPMC.

The same sh** None of the issues mentioned above have been resolved. It seems that Kodi 14 final will not be compatible with Tronsmart S89 devices.

Got the same problem with latest Kodi beta3 (on Finless 108k) - no video in IPTV on HD channels... But, after device reboot - the video is back.. until I will switch to another channel...

The IPTV and LazyIPTV (from market) works fine with iptv playlists
