    M8N Interlaced Video bug frustration.

Hello FreakTab! Have done a great amount of reading on the forums and have learned a lot about my new M8N Amlogic box while doing so. Bought the box to replace a HTPC that I have been using for a year or so for XBMC that I have had great success with. Everything worked well with the new box except for the Interlacing bug that is talked about here. After reading for a few hours I'm starting to think there is no fix for this issue with this box and I've bought the wrong hardware. If I have to buy different hardware to make this work well that will be my course of action.

This is my first post here and I know how noob I must look to some of you but a little helping hand would be greatly appreciated.

Every firmware that I have tried has this interlacing problem with my box. I have tried them all that I can find and maybe I'm doing something else wrong to not make it work as my knowledge here is very limited to what I have read through this site. OpenElec has been the win for me. It seems to work the best but I still get better image through my HTPC for playing 1080p video. So far my M8 is good enough for my bedroom tv but as far as my main tv I will still run my windows setup. Thanks to all the contributors on this site, you have all taught me something new this past few weeks.

So, 1080p videos on HTPC are better picture than M8N 1080p although they are both getting picture from same source?

By my experience yes. M8 is good. HTPC is flawless.
