HELP. Just bought this, but cant get a visual

Ive bought the Mbox S82B and got it today.

Ive set it up, simple, just Hdmi and powercable hookup. pressing the power button until it shows the blue LED. But there is no visual on the screen. Ive tried swithing the HDMI cable and tried different HDMI inputs in the telly. But nothing.

I there something im missing here?

Could you try using the 'av' port and cable to hook it up as a test?
Have you tested on a different tv set with hdmi?
It could maybe be the hdmi auto detect not working from the S82B?
Or worst case, faulty hdmi port on S82B?

Ive tried it on different tv's, still no picture.

Do you mean the SCART? because im not sure if im hooking up the AV correctly af there are RED/WHITE/YELLOW on the cord but RED/WHITE/GREEN ETC options in the TV.

It does not seem like the S82B unit reacts when I try to use the remote.

It really sucks to buy I new unit and then it doesnt really work properly.

it works on SCART.

Now it reacts on the remote control. But still does not work on HDMI

It says HDMI auto-detection ON and HDMI 720p 50hz.

But I cant edit it in the menu.

Also shouldnt it say 1080p and not 720p?

Turn off auto detection then you can manually select the resolution to match your tv / requirements.

Then reboot the box with hdmi lead connected and the av lead unplugged and see if that solves the problem.

There was a fault on the hdmi port of these boxes but I don't know if it was fixed by the time the s82b was released?

As stated im unabl to touch the 2 options onthe top.I cant change it in there

Ok, I've had a play with the av and hdmi connections on my box and it won't let me change the hdmi auto detect setting with the av lead plugged in

I haven't had this problem but it could be the hdmi port isn't working. Take a look at this topic. Sorry I can't help any further, good luck.
