    Hmm, interesting thought.

I'm assuming 2GB partition is the standard one that came with my box? How can i change it to 8GB partition? I would like to try to see if that would help

EDIT: Nevermind, found a link to your document on how to do it after searching the forum for few minutes.

I have experience stutter/lag/freezing in systems wide not just when I'm watching something.
In the home screen it happens every minute or so, when I move the mouse around the screen.

Looks like I have a faulty unit?!

P.S.: I will try a few more things tonight and let you know.

If it is system wide then I would be concerned.

It could be that there are some app processes that are hogging resources, so perhaps flash the ROM again and see what happens as you add your apps back.

I’ve tested it with multiple version of XBMC as well as with Netflix.
I have a an air-mouse remote and when I move the cursor let say from left to right for a bit in a steady motion, I can see it as well. It kind of just stops and resumes. It’s the same with the video and Google Play Music. I would say that it doesn’t actually stop for a whole second, but for a split second. It’s definitely noticeable.

I’ve even used CPU control to boost the CPU speed to see if that would help, but it doesn’t.

Does anyone else have a similar problem? I wonder if my device is a lemon and if I should have it replaced by Geekbuying.

I am running the latest firmware version.

Any help regarding this issue will be greatly appreciated!

          Thanks!
I have the exact same issue on my Beelink R28. I basically only use the box for streaming (Netflix, XBMC, Archos Media player, PLEX, TV4Play). When streaming movies I get a 0,5s freeze every few minutes.

I'm also on the latest stock firmware, use the stock remote, ethernet, no SD card, wifi/BT off.

Annoying but not critical for me. My biggest issue is that the TV4play app has commercials, and when exiting the commercial and resuming the show the sound is "echoed". It sounds like 2 sound streams that are playing with a small time glitch. It worked fine on my MK808II unit. But I replaced it with the R28 because the WIFI issues and that TV4 started encrypting shows and the MK808II could not keep up... To fix it i need to switch app to one that plays sounds, run it for a second, then switch back... argh!

Have you tried avoiding the mouse, for example, using the smartphone to control the box? Or have you tried to hook mouse and keyboard to the otg port?

I ,also, have this problem.I have a 6GB partition and an airmouse, but have noticed it streaming some 1080 files ,but it has been perfect playing files off a usb stick, including some that have been downloaded by the R28.
The supplied remote does not work ,since flashing the finless rom,so will try with keyboard and mouse later.
I have the ffwd/rwd crash in SPMC as well.

Yes, I did it and here is my findings. With any airmouse I have stutter system wide without airmouse nothing.
Why this unit is not compatibile with airmouses?
I never had a problem with my rk3188 device.
Video playing from USB pendrive and HDD or internal SD is fine but when I play any video from my NAS I have micro stutter every two, two and half minutes. Can you someone lead me to the right direction how can I fix that?

Thanks for your answers and I hope this helps

Ok., so mouse is the problem.
Regarding nas, what protocol do you use to stream? I hope you are using dlna

                    I use SMB.

Try a traditional wireless mouse and keyboard.

I have never had issues with mine.

Or try to use the air/fly-mouse at the OTG-Port...

this chip is not fully supported on the hardware side by xbmc atm.
after several build tried i'm now using SPMC (which plays more and also older codecs than official XBMC) using simple software acceleration and, no surprise, it never stutters nor miss a frame (also confirmed by live statistics while playing). Tried with several formats/codecs/bitrates and it works a charm, also going forward and back; didnt try through other transmission protocols, though, only from usb disk.

The box is powerful enogh to keep it, until new Kodi will fully use hw acceleration with no bugs.
Maybe the only codec which needs more cpu power atm is h/x265, so if u have such only in that case hw acceleration should be turned on.

yes, dlana is way better and does not copy file into internal memory, only cache\buffer.

use a dlana server on nas and a dlna client like bubble upnp on the box , togheter with mxplayer ( or you can use only archos video player coz it has an integrated dlna client)

                              lemme know

I've been having the same issues and have been running quite a few tests to see if there is a solution. I think there may be a conflict in USB ports, or something causing interference between the two.

I plugged a wireless mouse/keyboard receiver into one USB port and didn't have any stuttering issues whatsoever. It was running just great.

I then plugged an Xbox 360 wireless receiver into the other USB port, and sure enough, the mouse becomes pretty much unusable. Stuttering and lag becomes very heavy.

In fact, if anything is plugged into the second USB port, the wireless mouse behaves badly. Bluetooth mice still work fine, though. This tells me it's some sort of USB issue.

Switching the USB mouse receiver to the OTG port doesn't solve the issue. I'm really hoping this can be solved with a software patch and that it's not a hardware issue.

I ran a CPU monitor to see if the CPU useage spikes when two devices are plugged in, but the CPU useage stays pretty much the same (3% for mouse movement) both with and without a second device being plugged in.

One thing I still haven't tried is to plug a USB hub into one of the ports, and then plug the mouse receiver and Xbox controller receivers into it at the same time and see if it has the same effect.

The only other possible explanation I can think of is that the Tronsmart R28 is sending out wireless interference on the 2.4ghz channel, which most wireless mouse receivers use. I've seen this happen with PCs if a USB port is having hardware issues -- the port itself can send electromagnetic interference.

If anyone else can run similar tests and let me know what you find out, I'd appreciate it. I'll start looking at tweaking the usb drivers in the kernel and see what I can find out.

EDIT: The BeeLink with the same motherboard is having these exact same issues - http://www.freaktab.com/showthread.p...es-SD-card-%29
