M8 - Square Box - 3D Bluray Isos

Hi guys.

I just got one of these - on the box it states that it plays 3D-HD 1080P*2 (whatever that means) and on the **** site I purchase it from, it states that it plays 3D-Bluray Isos.

I know XBMC does not support 3D Bluray isos (at least to play them in 3D anyway). The 4k Player will only play files locally, but even when I open a 3D bluray iso, it does not let me watch it in 3D (once you have started the movie, you need to get up the play menu by pressing OK and then move the cursor to the far right option to get another screen of options, and then the far right option is 3D). Selecting this gives me the error "this function is not opened right now" which is obviously quite helpful.

I was using the stock firmware and that didn't work, so updated to the most current one I could find "k200-ota-20140901".

Has anyone been able to play 3D Bluray isos on this box?

I solved this for myself.

Turned out the copy of 4kPlayer I had was corrupted or something. I updated the firmware to Finless 1.8 and also Justme 1.3 - it will only play Top/Bottom and Side By Side 3D (these are the only options in 4KPlayer) - not 3D Bluray isos or 3d MVC MKVs. So the ad was incorrect.

Incidentally, the ad also said it has support for DTS-HD and Dolby True-HD passthrough, but XBMC can't do that and it doesn't look like 4KPlayer can either.

Hopefully this helps someone else.
