Usb-ethernet adapter not recognized right away,needs to be turned off/on

Hi,
I have a mk808 with finless rom and got a usb-ethernet adapter (this one ) that it said it was compatible with android. It does work and i can get good speeds on it, but the problem is that when i first turn on the mk808 (with the adapter already connected) it doesn't seem to recognize the adapter and i have to unplug it and plug it again for it work.
Could it be drivers or any other software issue? Anyone knows how to fix this?

Common problem --- some ROMs have a fix for this built in. I think there are some startup scripts around on the forum to solve this problem.

Ok, so i think i found the fix for this in the rom.
I went into the settings - not android settings, the other icon which i think is the rom settings - went into the connectivity tab, ethernet and then "connected". It started showing ethernet right away, i rebooted and turned it off/on and the ethernet started showing up right away
