Just bought an amlogic m8 s802, Now what?

So it appears that i purchased this box with the assumption that it was going to flashed with a rom for movies and live tv and basically be dummy proof. I was wrong and i am a dummy. Where can i get a rom for this box that will make me be able to watch live tv and movies like show box.

any help will be appreciated.

You mean Torrent Stream Controller + acestream?

Showbox does not stream live tv im not sure what your talking about... it's the same as popcorn time for android it just streams movie and tv show torrents

i guess thats what I'm talking about. This all started with a coworker of mine spending 200 on this box and then telling me all apps and movies he got. I went online found it much cheeper and purchased it with hope it was rooted with a custom rom like his. i am a complete noob when it comes to xbmc and any help would be appreciated.

so in a nut shell i have to install apps like showbox and configure xbmc by using xbmchub wizard. First step i did was install finless 2.0 .. then installed shoebox. then xbmc and now using that wizard. Only problem is now the amloigc m8 remote doesn't work. how do i enable that again?

The remotes that come with the boxes kind of suck, everyone here will recommend you buy an air mouse.

Install TMC(?) from play store is probably the easiest solution to get xbmc/Kodi up and running. Its cheap (or free if you side load it from the website - I know, sideloading isn't very noon friendly)

i can sideload, I'm not that bad lol but I can't find the tmc app can u link to the store for me and I'll find the Apk

Might have been a good idea to purchase the same box your friend has since it came programmed already. Sometimes saving a few dollars creates more headaches.

+1 or either that start reading up plenty of threads and also youtube videos if your not that bad.it should be breeze

Download tvmc from tvaddons.ag it will load addons on automatically for ya. Mind if in uk some might not work due to isps blocking stuff.
