Cube talk 9x battery percentage issue!

Hi cube 9x fans

My cube runs into a problem from time to time, battery percentage gets stuck at certain value for a very long time (say 4 hours of hard work) and then drops very quickly so that I cannot even reach the charger before it turns off

I tracked the issue in the forum here, and saw others cimplaining from similar issue, but no reply!

I'm running on stock firmware of 3 sept and rooted.
The problem also appeared on previous firmware that came with the tab!

Any help?

U65GT_V1.8.5W_141110_en_mod Lepi is only solution for this problem as i know.
With official September firmware/900supersport tried almost everything, with no result.
After ~8h in idle, battery percentage will get stucked for ~1h, 24h idle battery info stucked for about 1,5_2hours, etc...
3g on/off, GPS on/off, synchronization on with refresh at 30 min. for 4 email accounts...with no result.
Yesterday installed new firmware from Lepi and battery percentage is displayed just fine, battery drain minimal with WiFi and 3g module always activated (1% in 10 hours idle).

Thanks for your reply

I'm afraid I have bad experiences installing custom roms with flash tools

Is there anyway to install the fix from lepi as update.zip via OTA or stock recovery?

I mean the same way of rooting and chrome fix by mmrrdd

Any other help is appreciated

U65GT_V1.8.5W_141110_en_mod isn't a fix, is an entire custom firmware.
You can' flash this firmware with stock recovery, only with Lepi's TWRP (recommended) or from 900supersport custom CWM.
In your situation you must flash only TWRP with flash tool from PC to overwrite current stock recovery.
In TWRP you'll do all erases described in Lepi's instruction and update with
U65GT_V1.8.5W_141110_en_mod.
Everything is pretty simple, max. 5 minutes from your lifetime.

Though I don't like flashing at all, but I'll give this a try.
Thank you so much Edius

I seen this on my Cube some time ago.
I found an advice on 4PDA regarding some type of calibration and it worked
1) 2-4 complete cycles (discharge to shutdown - charging off to 100%)

2) Each cycle is as follows: discharge - off - charging to 100% - with the inclusion of plug the cable - reboot - take out the charging cable

In my situation only 2 cycles was enough

sorry I didn't understand item 2 ... what do you mean by "with the inclusion of plug the cable - reboot - take out the charging cable"

and is this a permanent solution or just for a period of time ??

thanks

That's a quote of an older post of mine http://www.freaktab.com/showthread.p...l=1#post247388 After calibration (i think 2 battery cycles is more than enough) Cube will shutdown at 0 - 1% battery. As i understand your problem is stucked battery percentage and that's not a real solution for you.It will be helpfull for badly calibrated tablets who shutdown at 30 _ 40 % battery.

So Edius, you still saying that lepi's ROM is the only solution??
Did the stuck percentage happen with you anymore after flashing??

After one week with Lepi's 1.8.5 FW, I can say for sure one thing: battery percentage is still stuck after an longer idle time.
I think it's a kernel bug and only Cube will solve this thing.
Don't flash Lepi's FW only for this problem..nothing solved in this direction.

Disappointed to hear this
I think I'll give a try to firmware v2.0
