    Portable USB Hard Drive Woes

Hello, I have an EM8 square box running Finless 1.8.

I have a portable USB hard drive (not SSD) that I formatted NTFS. I rebooted my device and couldn't find the hard drive in the mnt/ usb_storage location as directed by others. I downloaded paragon and it states that there are no partitions available/recognized.

Any idea what I am doing wrong? The hard drive shows up fine on PC.

The firmware probably doesn't support NTFS.

Maybe Fat32 or the power adapter is not strong enough, try a 3A adapter if not already.

I just tried FAT32 (again). I have a USB cable which splits 5v and ground to a separate USB A male connector and 5v D+ D- and ground to the media player. I connect the power to a 5v 2A source and then the other with data to the media player. It is getting enough power, the M8 just wont recognize it...
