MX2 not booting into recovery

Evening Guys,

Having a problem with my mx2 not booting into recovery, I'm trying to reflash stock f/w onto it, due to it getting stuck at the xbmc loading screen. It currently has the latest build of amlinux from Stane on it.

I've tried building the recovery sd card using HDDraw with the stock firmware as the image but no luck. I've tried the recovery files on the root of my sd card as well. It just will not boot into recovery at all, I can still hear the click when i'm pushing down the reset button.

Does anybody have any ideas?

Right,

Device will still not boot into recovery.

I've even downloaded 3 different apps from the playstore which are supposed to boot the device into recovery mode. But it still just goes straight into the android system.

Does anybody have any ideas please?
