Without any information what you want to do with it, this question cannot be answered

At the moment the RK3288 devices are an interesting one (but actually they have problems with path-through at some AV-receiver which I think they will be able to fix the next time).
I would recommend tronsmart/beelink/ubox OR hph because of the support (also here at the forum)...

If you want to use IPTV subscription apps like e.g. netflix I would, because of DRM http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Digital_rights_management, recommend Amazon Fire TV (but be sure you get one with rootable FW but not a must-to-have because XBMC/kodi or SPMC works without root)...

So I decided to test it myself me and me a more novel box at a good price which I bought also still can exchange anstandlos by Amazon. Price for small model € 65 and € 85 higher power model.

The MX III 4K TV BOX 2G 8GB.

Do I am very pleased and amazed so far to say that. Everything is recognized without problems. OB AV or HDMI. HDMI 2k 4k. 2x 2TB HDD on USB HUB. Keyboard, mouse, Bluetooth all no problem. And the remote control works very well I must say to the little clicking noises loud. Apps also work XBMC Kodi or SMPC (is an copy about XBMC app in the Playstore, very smooth)
Full HD no problems, no crashes, no stutter. Also, 2K or 4K videos no problems. OB MP4 or MKV in x264 (H.264) everything no problems. 3D wonderful.
Have MKV's with up to 18000kbs tested and no problems. The new Hobbit, Transformers all liquid matter whether 2D or 3D.

Only at HOU film MKVS which the XBMC / SMPC menu displays not quite fit. But wonderful movie. In HSBS mkv everything is fine if you XBMC / SMPC complete with menu in 3D Switches.

Have updated to the latest firmware which is very easy without a PC flash tool but only with the ROM zip on MicroSDcard. Also it made Finless 2.0 ROM without problems and another custom rom I have tested and works well.

Did the box connected with HDMI and HDMI passthrough the sound is routed to my TV and then output to my soundbar or receiver. Whether Dolby Digital, DTS, DTS-HD or TrueHD. Everything is played by 4K app or XMBC or SMPC when activated passthrough. Only can it be that one A / V synchronization must adjust.

I like the s802 boxes. I have finless 1.9 on a tronsmart s89h, as does a friend after seeing mine, only UE has finless 2.0 . I have just ordered a mxiii 2gb/8gb because it is only £50. No Dolby hardware decoding (but should do software based) and slightly smaller space, but will make a good Christmas present.

The Fire TV if you can get a unit that can be rooted. Had s802, MINIX 7. None move as fast as fire TV. Also more stable
